Rattan K1 kitchen Brookmans Smallbone

Rattan K1 kitchen from Brookmans by Smallbone

The new Rattan K1 kitchen from Brookmans by Smallbone combines tactile natural materials in an earthy colour palette. It is also modular so can be used to facilitate cooking and dining in a flexible way.

The ktichen combines rattan panels, green Guatemala marble, stone and timber and inlcudes an integrated herb garden, the end result is a space that feels perfectly in tune with nature.

‘We wanted to create a kitchen that could harness the grounding powers of the natural world all year-round,’ says Brookmans’ Brand Director, David Reid. ‘For that, we looked to an anchoring, earthy green colour palette, the drama of deeply veined marble and the easy tactility of woven materials. The result is a kitchen that marries functionality with a sense of natural wonder’.

Based on the classic profile of Brookmans’ original Georgian-inspired K1 collection, the Rattan K1 is designed to enhance a sense of wellbeing. An island trough allows for a verdant, easy access herb garden, while the marble, timber, stone and woven elements showcase nature’s enduring materials. Reeded glass cabinetry and a Quartzite Rosa stone island worktop add a luminous quality.

Like all of Brookmans’ kitchens, the Rattan K1 is designed with flexibility in mind. Modules are available in various sizes from 700 – 1200mms, accommodating a variety of options including sink, cooking, workspace and refrigeration for a totally bespoke configuration. Counters are available in a range of finishes, from Ceaserstone rugged concrete to dekton, neolithe or quartz.

This latest collection is made and hand-assembled at the company’s workshop in Wiltshire and shares the same core ethos, heritage and quality as Brookmans’ sister brands including Smallbone and Mark Wilkinson. All collections, including the new Rattan K1, are sold exclusively by celebrated British design store Heal’s, and are available to view at its Tottenham Court Road flagship.
