LIXIL, a global leader in water and housing solutions, has earned its place in the renowned ‘Dow Jones Sustainability World Index’ (DJSI World) for the sixth year in a row, achieving its highest-ever score.
This recognition reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, with GROHE’s environmental and innovation efforts playing a significant role in supporting LIXIL’s Impact Strategy. With a score of 83/100, LIXIL ranks at the top of the Building Products industry for the first time, according to the latest S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment.
The DJSI World, one of the most respected global sustainability benchmarks, recognised LIXIL out of over 13,000 companies worldwide participating in the 2024 assessment. LIXIL’s inclusion also marks its eighth consecutive year listed in the DJSI Asia Pacific, further solidifying its position as a leader in sustainability.
LIXIL’s sustainability efforts extend across its entire value chain, with a strong focus on responsible sourcing. Since 2022, the company has partnered with IntegrityNext to enhance its due diligence processes, meeting the requirements of the German Supply Chain Act to uphold human rights and environmental standards when selecting suppliers.
GROHE’s sustainability milestones include achieving CO2 neutrality at all eight LIXIL International fittings plants and German logistics centres by 2020. In addition, all these facilities now operate using green energy, with unavoidable emissions offset through three high-quality compensation projects. LIXIL’s ongoing sustainability initiatives are part of a long-term strategy to reduce its environmental impact.
