Verdura Resort Sicily reopens after luxury makeover

Verdura Resort, the luxury Sicilian retreat by Rocco Forte Hotels, has reopened its doors following a major redesign – with a spotlight on its vibrant new restaurant and bar concepts. Central to the resort’s transformation are three new dining venues and a signature cocktail bar, marking a new era for food and drink at one of Italy’s top resorts.

At the heart of the refreshed culinary experience is L’Osteria, a relaxed all-day dining space serving comforting, seasonal dishes, with produce sourced daily from the resort’s own organic garden. Wines are poured from carafes in a nod to traditional Italian osterias, while views from the seafront terrace stretch all the way to the African coast.

For cocktail lovers, Scirocco offers a playful, stylish retreat. With hand-painted murals, terracotta hues and sweeping sea views, the bar captures the movement of the Scirocco wind. The drinks menu celebrates Sicilian botanicals and ingredients, many grown on-site at the Verdura Farm.

Beside the ancient Saracen Tower, the newly unveiled piazza is home to Nagori – an inspired culinary concept by Chef Fulvio Pierangelini. Here, the precision of Japanese sushi meets the richness of Mediterranean seafood.

“The mastery, purity, precision, and artistry of Japanese sushi-making combine with fresh fish and seafood from the Mediterranean Sea. Nagori is a story of Japan and Sicily,” says Pierangelini.

Guests can also rediscover Zagara, now redesigned as a lush garden restaurant perfect for elegant evenings, and Liolà, a lively trattoria with wood-fired pizzas and a vibrant, family-friendly vibe.

“We are thrilled to begin a new chapter in the story of Verdura Resort. The recent renovations really capture the essence of the location and elevate Verdura’s hospitality to new levels offering our guests an entirely new experience. The resort is looking stunning, I am so delighted with the results,” states Sir Rocco Forte, Chairman of Rocco Forte Hotels.

With 203 rooms and suites, 20 private villas, award-winning golf, and a 4,000m² Irene Forte Spa, Verdura Resort continues to define luxury on Sicily’s southwest coast – now with a culinary offering to match.
