Rangemaster introduces new induction system

Rangemaster has introduced its new ‘next generation’ induction system to the market. The new system has been updated with a variety of key features, including the Rangemaster Bridging Zone, whereby the two separately operating cooking zones on the left-hand side of the hob can be linked to create one large cooking zone. This forms a bigger, more adaptable space, where users can cook with larger dishes, such as fish kettles and roasting tins, with ease. The Bridging Zone can also be used with the company’s new induction compatible griddle. The griddle will come as standard on selected range cookers, and is made from cast aluminium, making it both lightweight and hard wearing. Protective rubber feet on the underside of the griddle help to protect the glass hob from damage.

In addition, a low temperature setting can hold the element at a programmed temperature for a period of two hours, after which it switches off automatically – perfect for when gentle cooking is required, such as melting butter or simmering. The Power Boost setting provides maximum power instantly from any of the cooking zones for up to 10 minutes, after which it is automatically reduced back down.

The new system also comes equipped with a series of safety features. A pan detection feature means that when the hob is on, but no pan is detected, it will automatically switch off. A boil dry detection feature recognises when the temperature of a pan rises, and responds by reducing the temperature to a safe range. Additionally, a child lock feature can be activated when the hob is not in use.

“The ‘next generation’ induction system has been designed specifically to suit those with a love of cooking as well as those with busy family lives,” said Rangemaster sales director Iskender Diker.  “The new flexible functionalities offer practical benefits to the multi-tasking parent, while at the same time enabling the ambitious home chef to prepare meals of complexity with ease.”

The new induction system is already available on the 90cm and 110cm Elan Deluxe and the 110 NEXUS SE.
