CRL Stone joins ArtiCAD supplier partnership

Manchester-based CRL Stone (a division of C.R. Laurence of Europe) has joined the ArtiCAD Supplier Partnership Programme.  This Programme brings together ArtiCAD’s software and many of the KBB industry’s leading manufacturers to deliver high quality graphics catalogues to designers across the country.

CRL Stone has been established in the industry for over twenty years. Two years ago it launched Ceralsio Ceramic and CRL Quartz. It is one of the largest distributors of quartz and ceramic large format slabs in the UK, selling direct to stone processors for the home décor and kitchen markets.

Simon Boocock, Managing Director, CRL Europe: “We have been aware of ArtiCAD and its place in the KBB marketplace for many years, but it is only recently that we have decided to strengthen our relationship with the company and join the Supplier Partnership Programme.

“We have over seventy different quartz and ceramic surfaces. We want to ensure that designers have easy and fast access to all our colours when creating their designs. We already knew that many designers are using the ArtiCAD-Pro software: the new graphics catalogue helps increase awareness of CRL Stone’s portfolio and provides greater opportunity for our products to be selected and incorporated into designs.”

The CRL Stone catalogue in ArtiCAD-Pro currently comprises sixty-five colours, with twelve new ones for Ceralsio Ceramic and CRL Quartz being added very shortly.

In terms of trends in the marketplace, CRL Stone believes that materials that mimic the natural beauty of marble will remain popular, with ceramic and quartz being ideal for achieving a high-end look without the maintenance drawbacks of the natural materials. This is also in line with the industrial look, in contemporary kitchen design predominantly, where stone-effect worktops combine with raw materials such as timber and brick to give a room a professional edge. “Kitchens are becoming ever-more open plan and part of our central living space. Our products are a key element in helping to achieve a sense of minimal calm with a careful combination of colours, materials and finishes.”
