Kitchens Review Abode New Build Derbyshire

Abode supplies 50 new build family homes in Derbyshire

Kitchen and bathroom brand Abode is working with JT Ellis and Honey Homes on a sustainable new build development at Lees Lane, South Normanton, near Alfreton in Derbyshire.

Situated eight miles from Mansfield and close to Derby and Nottingham is a new community in South Normanton that combines style and sustainability. Amber is an exclusive development of two, three, and four-bedroom homes close to the countryside and village shops.

A show home is open now for visitors to explore, and the site is underway. Houses are available to buy off-plan with Autumn completion dates.

Graeme Blythe, national contract sales manager at Abode, says, “Building new homes in rural locations is hugely important in our regions and requires local knowledge, attention to detail and careful integration into the existing infrastructure and community. As the ethos at Amber is very similar to our own ESG policy at Abode in terms of delivering quality, style and sustainability in the home, we were delighted to be involved.”

“We collaborated with kitchen furniture manufacturer and supplier JT Ellis on the design and supply of all sinks and taps. As the Amber development is within an hour of our head office in Barnsley, I am enjoying seeing the progress on site as the blueprints come to life,” he adds.

Honey Homes was established in 2022 and is grounded in customer service, innovation, quality and creativity. The company builds modern homes with a unique design, space and sustainability approach throughout Yorkshire and the Midlands. The leadership team believes all homes should have added value as a standard. With a refreshing approach to housebuilding, Honey creates homes with smarter designs that create more interesting spaces thanks to better features, functions and specifications to reflect the residents’ personalities.

For example, the Amber development includes boutique-style bathrooms, rear garden views through bi-fold doors, and L-shaped modular kitchens, all of which make a statement. Abode worked closely alongside the kitchen furniture manufacturer JT Ellis and the senior commercial team to choose products that were in keeping with the Honey Homes ethos. The final selection was competitively priced and had the perfect finish to complement other fixtures and fittings, including a suite of appliances by Hotpoint, black door hinges, black bathroom brassware, and a shower frame.
