Alzheimer’s Research UK supported by Abode

Tap and sink manufacturer Abode is throwing its support behind a charity bike challenge taking place this summer in aid of Alzheimer’s Research UK.

With the cause being close to the hearts of many of the Abode team, the manufacturer will be the principle event sponsor as the two men, James Osborne and Matt Mooney, take on a 24-hour bike challenge across the Peak District. The duo aim to cover around 150 miles in 24 hours, completing loops of the 2.5mile long Dove Stone Reservoir on the edge of the Peak District.

Donating £500 to the cause, the Abode logo will feature on the pair’s cycling equipment and on their website atwww.24hourbikeride.com.

“When I heard about the challenge that my personal trainer, James, and his friend had set themselves I knew it was something that the Abode team would be keen to support,” explained Managing Director Darren Holliday.

“Alzheimer’s is a terrible illness that many of us at Abode have felt the impact of personally, with family members having been affected. We’re pleased to be able to support James and Matt and wish them the very best of luck when they set off on 12th July.”

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the country’s leading dementia research charity, with a vision for a world where people are free from the fear, harm and heartbreak of dementia. For every £1 donated, 85p goes straight into ground-breaking research.
