Bertazzoni Air-Tec cooker wins fourth award

A unique and innovative 3-in-1 kitchen appliance featuring a cooker, hob and integrated hood has yet again been recognized for its design credentials, receiving an Australian Good Design Award.

The product, created by premium Italian kitchen appliance brand, Bertazzoni, holds a range of accolades; an iF Design Award, Livingetc Style Award – Best Kitchen Show Piece, Ideal Home Kitchen Award – Genius Kitchen Innovation and has been finalist in multiple trade ceremonies, too.

Founded in 1958 and internationally renowned, the Australian Good Design Awards is one of the oldest and most prestigious initiatives. This recognition celebrates not only aesthetics but also design excellence, acknowledging products, services, and projects that offer innovative solutions and have a positive impact on people’s lives, the environment, and society as a whole.

“We are truly honored to receive the Australian Good Design Award for our Air-Tec cooker, a product that has already earned other major accolades thanks to its ability to integrate three appliances into one,” says Valentina Bertazzoni, Head of Brand Communication and Style at Bertazzoni.

“It has been an important year for us, during which our products have been highly appreciated by various juries worldwide. This award, in particular, not only celebrates the technological innovation and cutting-edge design of Air-Tec but also reaffirms the success of our freestanding cooker line, a sector in which Bertazzoni continues to excel in terms of both excellence and innovation.”

Whilst the iF Design Award was presented specifically for the Arancio (orange) version, the 90cm Air-Tec freestanding cooker is available in several other colourways; Carbonio (carbon), Bianco (white), Giallo (yellow), Rosso (red), Nero (black) and Stainless Steel.

The 90cm Air-Tec freestanding cooker combines three high-performance appliances into one. The induction cooktop with 4 active heating zones  controlled by metal knobs, is enriched by an integrated hood with an exclusive black painted aluminum grid, developed in collaboration with Valerio Cometti + V12 Design, embellished with the iconic Bertazzoni brass logo.

A dedicated knob makes controlling the hood functional: by setting the hood to the ‘Automatic’ position, the extraction power will be automatically set according to the number and power of the induction zones actually used. The integrated hood is in fact equipped with 9 manual power levels, plus the ‘Boost’ function, guaranteeing maximum effectiveness and efficiency for perfect extraction results. Lightweight and ergonomic, it offers easy access to the filters located just below it: “Grease filter” that can be washed periodically in the dishwasher, high-performance “Activated carbon filter”, effective against odors and fumes. The internal air ducting system is made of metal to ensure perfect resistance to high temperatures near the oven cavity. While two different air outlet systems are available to meet all installation requirements.

Bertazzoni has specialised in the production of kitchen appliances since 1882 and is a family-run business currently led by fifth- and sixth-generation family members.
