Owner of fitness empire RWL, TV personality and model Lucy Mecklenburgh, and her fiancé, actor Ryan Thomas, are the latest famous faces to choose Caple. In 2021, they purchased an Edwardian property in Ryan’s hometown of Manchester and have now moved in after renovating and remodelling.

“As a family, everyone was excited about moving in,” Ryan reveals. “It took longer than expected due to planning, work commitments and materials, and we are really happy to have finally moved in.”

“Our Caple wine cooler is very much the statement piece in the kitchen,” Ryan confirms. “It makes such a great feature, and I absolutely love seeing this appliance lit up at night. I can’t wait to make full use of it when we entertain friends and family. We love that it allows you to store different drinks at varying temperatures in dedicated zones.”

The spacious kitchen features a neutral colour palette and a large central island for cooking and socialising.

In addition to the wine cooler, the second Caple appliance selected is the DD780BK Induction Hob with Downdraft Extractor. Sometimes known as a venting hob, this is a versatile two-in-one option. This frameless induction hob incorporates its own extractor fan to remove grease, moisture, and lingering odours. Because the downdraft element is discreetly installed within the appliance, it’s a real space-saving option. It also helps to create a minimal, designer aesthetic with better sight lines, as there’s no need for a bulky overhead extractor hood.

“We chose the downdraft extractor hob so the room looks clean and uncluttered” Ryan explains. “Also, you don’t see these in many kitchens, so it feels unique. We’ve positioned it on the kitchen island, which is dead centre in this room. So, we’ll still be able to see everything that’s going on and socialise with friends and family, while we’re cooking on this hob.”
