Fisher & Paykel's event for designers & retailers

Fisher & Paykel’s event for designers & retailers

Fisher & Paykel brought an immersive, pop-up experience to London last month (23rd – 25th May) in which more than 100 kitchen designers and retailers were invited to get hands-on with its latest innovations.

The three-day event, which took place against the backdrop of Clerkenwell Design Week, guided guests on a journey through the luxury New Zealand brand’s distinct heritage and culture which can be found embedded in the design of its appliances.

The brand displayed new innovations to come and shared its ongoing plans for the UK market including an overview of the design and architecture plans for its London Experience Centre opening later in 2023.

Guests were also treated to a taste of Fisher & Paykel’s homeland with exquisite New Zealand wines and locally sourced produce to showcase the perfect results its products deliver.

“This event, the largest of its kind outside of KBB Birmingham for Fisher & Paykel, has been a huge
success,” said Emma Russell, head of marketing for Fisher & Paykel UK.

“Partners have travelled from all over the UK to see the latest product innovation launching in 2023 and to enjoy a complete sensory experience of our brand. Every detail, from the food and wine to the music, was carefully hand-picked in collaboration with our Global team to bring the authenticity of New Zealand to London to demonstrate why Fisher & Paykel is the most human-centred appliance brand in the world. Feedback from our independent kitchen and studio partners has been immensely positive.”

Modular Cooktop

As part of the event, Fisher & Paykel unveiled its new modular hob for retailers. The Modular Cooktop allows the user to customise their cooking area, at the scale and format best suited to its placement within a kitchen and user needs.

This easy-to-clean, touchscreen single-surface finish with a built-in cleaning mode comes in a range of styles, including a teppanyaki option, and can be connected to F&P’s SmartHQ™ app for additional cooking functions.

Grey minimal range

In addition, Fisher & Paykel is also building on its existing offering of a minimal and contemporary
oven finish with the launch of its grey minimal range. This more muted take on Fisher & Paykel’s
expert appliances has been launched to offer an option with reduced contrast between appliance
and cabinetry. The grey allows for a more harmonious design where the appliance compliments the
tones of the cabinetry rather than dominating the space.

In addition to these brand-new product developments, Fisher & Paykel also brought together some
of its hero products and favourites. With the likes of Fisher & Paykel’s integrated Single and Double
11th generation DishDrawers™, CoolDrawer™, and Integrated Column Wine Cabinet on display, the
event was a showcase in design, user flexibility, ergonomics and outstanding performance.

Experience Centre on Wigmore Street

January 2023 saw the unveiling of Fisher & Paykel’s signage on its hotly anticipated two-story Wigmore Street experience centre that will foster a community-driven approach to the A&D and KBB industry. Spread over two floors, the showroom will focus on an immersive experience that creates a human-centred approach to design and its products. With a sympathetic design and raw materials sourced from fallen trees native to London, it will also be a showcase for the various innovations that Fisher & Paykel offers in an interactive and luxurious setting for end users and retailers. It will join an impressive line-up of Experience Centres worldwide, including Auckland, Sydney, Costa Mesa, New York and Shanghai.
