Franke launches new Mythos Air Hub range

Franke Home Solutions has added to its extensive decorative hoods collection with the unique Mythos Air Hub range which incorporates a high-performance extractor with a state-of-the-art air sanitisation system.

Responding to heightened consumer awareness of the importance of indoor air quality, Franke’s Air Hub range effectively eliminates vapours and cooking odours and removes up to 99.99% of bacteria and viruses*, providing clean, hygienic, and odourless air in the home.

Integrated in the hood, Air Hub generates an independent air stream that is fully dedicated to air sanitisation, realised through two dedicated UV-C lamps which cleanse the air safely and with no ozone production. Air Hub’s efficacy has been rigorously tested and confirmed by the world-renowned University of Siena laboratories.

Air Hub’s air treatment system, which operates separately to its extraction function, can be operated in three different modes: a manual setting which can be switched on and off when required which automatically switches off after 24 hours; an intensive mode that purifies the air at maximum speed in the shortest possible time and a night option that provides a long cycle of air purification with minimum noise.

For design and installation flexibility, Air Hub is available in a choice of three models Vertical, T-Shape and Ceiling, to suit all kitchen styles. Pictured is the Vertical Air Hub in a stylish black/ glass finish. The hood offers three speeds plus an intensive setting with an extraction rate of 470 m3/h and a noise level of 57dB at the maximum setting.

The Vertical and T-Shape models feature an intuitive touch screen control panel where the Air Hub controls are independent from the hood’s and are identified with their blue LEDs. With the ceiling option, the Air Hub controls are fully integrated into the remote control or can be controlled through the Franke @Home app.

The range features Franke’s innovative Sound Pro Blower which limits the noise threshold of the hood by up to -6db and reduces the disturbance caused by high frequencies for a pleasant and quiet operating sound. The Vertical and Ceiling Air Hub models are rated A+ for energy efficiency while the T-Shaped option has an A rating. All three models are suitable for recirculatory and ducted extraction, however recirculatory mode is recommended.

Belonging to the premium Mythos family of products, Mythos Air Hub is part of Franke’s kitchen integrated system which includes an extensive portfolio of sinks, taps, cooker hoods, appliances and waste management products offering advanced performance and harmonious design from a single brand.

Silvia Gamberoni, head of global category management hoods at Franke Home Solutions says: “The kitchen is the core of our homes, the place where we spend most of our time cooking and enjoying the household spaces. At Franke, we think that domestic well-being is incredibly important and for this reason, we are providing a product that enables us to breathe clean, hygienic, and safe air with the most innovative technology and seamless aesthetic.”
