Gary Stevens joins Summerbridge kitchen manufacturer

A familiar industry face, Gary Stevens has joined UK kitchen doors and cabinets manufacturer Summerbridge as General Manager based in Hull. Gary has held senior management roles in the K&B industry since 1997 when he started at bath manufacturer Reva Industries and for the past 5 years he ran the Hull manufacturing facility for Ideal Standard before it moved overseas. He started with the Summerbridge business just prior to the Covid-19 lockdown.

“It has been an interesting time to run a production facility.” Said Gary of the new role. “Summerbridge has been producing kitchen and bedroom doors and cabinets for many years and we have recently introduced a range of rigid bathroom cabinets too. A sizeable proportion of our business, due to our location, is for the mobile home and leisure industry which is currently busy as the sales of UK lodges, mobile homes and caravans flourish. It’s been a good boost for our business during the temporary retail shut down. Now our retail business is coming back and we hope it will continue to grow as businesses look for local supply from a UK manufacturer.  It’s great to be heading up this sizeable facility, Summerbridge has great potential for growth.” He concluded.

Summerbridge was founded in East Yorkshire in 1992 and is a sizeable UK manufacturer of MDF and MFC doors and cabinets for kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. They offer a wide choice of finishes to wrap around their doors and units, which are also available in bespoke sizes to perfectly fit a situation. They sell their products to the leisure industry, to property developers for hotels and student accommodation and to specialist retailers via distribution. summerbridgedoors.co.uk
