Hearst UK Institute

Hearst UK selects InSinkErator® as preferred supplier

InSinkErator® has been selected as the preferred food waste disposer manufacturer to supply a brand new testing centre, the Hearst Institute. InSinkErator® has also provided the facility with two of its M Series 66 food waste disposers that feature the Good Housekeeping Institute (GHI) Approved endorsement.

The 8,000 square feet of new testing facility is purpose built and based in Feltham. It has been constructed to increase the testing capacity of Hearst UK’s range of brands, including Cosmopolitan, ELLE, Good Housekeeping and Men’s Health. A key part of the facility is the open-plan testing kitchen, which is utilised to assess and review appliances, large and small, as well as food products against set criteria. The two InSinkErator® M Series 66 food waste disposers are situated in the testing kitchen to provide a hygienic, safe, simple and sustainable method for dealing with food waste at the new Hearst UK facility.

“The InSinkErator® Model 66 performed really well in all our tests, and as a result, is a welcomed product at the Hearst Institute. It disposes of everyday food waste, such as vegetable trimmings and small bones, with ease. It’s quick and simple to use and a convenient addition to the kitchen”, commented the Hearst Institute testing team.

Anne Kaarlela, Marketing Communications and Customer Service Manager, Europe and Russia, InSinkErator®, says: “At InSinkErator® we are thrilled to have been chosen as the preferred food waste disposer supplier to the Hearst Institute. It is a great accolade to share with our customers and trade partners, highlighting InSinkErator® as the go-to food waste disposer brand, cementing our status as the global leader in the marketplace. Furthermore, by supplying the new testing facility with two M Series 66 models, we can reduce the amount of food waste ending up in landfill, while providing a safe, clean and easy way for the testing teams to dispose of scraps and inedible food.”
