Hisense Food Waste Week Wrap

Hisense partners with WRAP for Food Waste Action Week

Hisense, best knows as a home appliances manufacturer, has partnered with WRAP to support the inaugural Food Waste Action Week which will take place between 1st – 7th March 2021.

This partnership follows Hisense’s initial support for national food waste campaign group WRAP in mid-2020 and continues to help in the fight to reduce food waste in UK households. As part of the brand’s support for WRAP, Hisense developed a range of bespoke recipes designed to use up common leftovers to tackle food waste, which have been shared on its digital channels.

Hisense will be donating a brand new PureFlat RQ760 Fridge Freezer to WRAP as a competition prize for one lucky winner during Food Waste Action Week.

The PureFlat RQ760 is loaded with technology that works to help food stay fresher for longer such as My Fresh Choice, where at the touch of a button temperatures can flex from -20℃ right up to +5℃ across different cooling zones, allowing for additional storage space for food when needed. This flexibility also aids prolonged food lifespan by offering optimum conditions for storage.

Arun Bhatoye, Head of Marketing at Hisense UK says: “Tackling the issue of food waste is an ongoing battle and we are passionate about providing solutions that can really help shoppers reduce waste in their daily lives. We are proud to be supporting WRAP with Food Waste Action Week and continuing to spread awareness on this important topic.

“Each year, UK households throw away 4.5 million tonnes of food that could have been eaten, and we hope that our partnership with WRAP and continued support can work to bring this figure down make reducing food waste an achievable objective for everyone.”
