AXI dishwasher

Hoover launches next generation AI dishwasher

Hoover has launched its AXI dishwasher, the second appliance from its highly-anticipated AI range,  the next generation of domestic appliances complete with Artificial Intelligence.

The new launch follows the successful release of the AXI washing machine.

Boasting 16 place settings and A+++ energy credentials, its host of user-friendly features, combined with AI.

Owners can control the dishwasher using just their voice, choosing to start a programme remotely, receive wash cycle alerts or even ask for advice.  The AXI can automatically suggest the most appropriate programme and best options for washing based on load.

Total Care technology means the contents are given a gentle yet effective wash. AXI does this by lowering the speed of the rotary arm right down to a low 500rpm, while washing at 50 degrees. It ensures the wash isn’t too rigorous, caring for contents while still giving A class washing results. The soft touch drawers also protect dishes and utensils, as they give more flexibility during the wash programme.

Fully WiFi-connected, the AXI model is complete with LCD display and is the first in the UK to be fully compatible with both Amazon Alexa and Google home and can also be controlled via the Hoover Wizard app available on Smartphone or tablet.

Steve Macdonald, business director – Freestanding appliances at Hoover Candy, said: “Since the launch of Hoover’s first collection of connected appliances in June 2015, we have made it our mission to lead the way with smart models of high quality and stylish design.

“We know that a quarter of consumers would be interested in buying a connected appliance, so we have ensured that the innovative AI technology used throughout the AXI range will truly provide a benefit to people by constantly learning and adapting to provide bespoke solutions to daily life.

“Following the successful launch of the AXI washing machine, the AXI dishwasher was the natural next addition to the range. We are excited to bring AI into more people’s homes, so they can discover just how useful smart appliances can be.”

The new model also features child lock, automatic door opening – to let steam out at the end of a cycle and speed up the drying process, as well as a 29 minute rapid wash, a steam cycle and a customised wash programme.

The Hoover AXI dishwasher is available now, while the range is set to be expanded on later in the year with tumble drying and cooling models.
