InSinkErator acquired by Whirlpool Corporation

Emerson has entered into an agreement to sell the InSinkErator® business to Whirlpool Corporation for $3 billion, with the transaction expected to complete during the final quarter of 2022.

InSinkErator®, the inventor and global market leader of food waste disposers, and a major player in the specialist kitchen tap market, was founded in 1938 and acquired by Emerson in 1968. InSinkErator® invented the food waste disposer over 90 years ago and today, has a range of world leading food waste disposers found in homes across the globe. The InSinkErator® portfolio also boasts a premium and elegant collection of specialist kitchen taps, in a variety of on-trend finishes.
