KBB partners with The Used Kitchen Company

KBB Birmingham partners with The Used Kitchen Company

KBB Birmingham has partnered with The Used Kitchen Company (TUKC) for the third consecutive show, taking further steps towards creating a more sustainable event. The collaboration urges exhibitors to sell displays ahead of kbb24, with the aim of promoting a greener event and to make a valuable contribution towards recycling within the kbb industry.

The disposal of kitchen waste has been a persistent problem within the interior design sector. Every year, numerous high-end kitchens in the UK are discarded as homeowners undertake renovations and showrooms update their displays with newer models.

The Used Kitchen Company is the original and most extensive online marketplace for used and ex-display kitchens. The concept of selling used and ex-display kitchens was conceived by founder Looeeze Grossman who created the business eighteen years ago. Looeeze encourages homeowners, showrooms and event exhibitors to embrace kitchen recycling instead of abandoning them to landfill.

This partnership aims to highlight the philosophy of kitchen-recycling and highlight the ease with which used and ex-display kitchens can be re-used in a way that benefits all parties involved, including the environment.

The Used Kitchen Company are delighted to extend their services now to the entire kbb industry and are selling bedrooms and bathrooms too.

KBB Birmingham event director, Sam Fisher comments “We are so pleased to be partnering with The Used Kitchen Company again this year. Sustainability guides our decisions, events, and daily operations and this is one of many ways we are achieving a greener KBB. We hope our continued collaboration with TUKC will change how the industry thinks of our kitchens – no longer as something disposable, but instead a product of skilled craftsmanship and quality materials, designed to be reused repeatedly.”

The Used Kitchen Company is just one of the innovative brands exhibiting at KBB Birmingham. Entries are now open for this year’s KBB Innovation Awards, entrants will be judged by a varied panel of industry experts, including leading professionals representing key areas of the KBB market. The judges will be taking on the challenge of deciding which brands, manufacturers and suppliers to the KBB industry, are bringing something new, unique and forward-thinking to the market.
