Kitchens Review LG Instaview Bottom Freezer With MoodUP

LG InstaView Bottom Freezer + MoodUP brings colour & sound

LG Electronics (LG) has launched InstaView™ bottom freezer refrigerator with MoodUP™ in Europe. Featuring a sophisticated InstaView door panel and colour-changing MoodUP technology, the new model promises smart convenience and a vibrant kitchen environment.

An Elevated Kitchen Atmosphere with MoodUP

The LG InstaView bottom freezer with MoodUP lets users change the mood in their kitchen by switching the colour of the freezer’s LED door panel. For even more colourful customisation, the LED lighting inside the fridge door presents 438 colour combinations all conveniently grouped into Colour Collection themes and controllable using the intuitive ThinQ app.

Additionally, the fridge provides a variety of colour-coordinated presets, including lively combos for parties, subtle pairings for relaxation, and natural shades that echo the changing seasons.

Along with its unique colour-changing capabilities, the new refrigerator can enhance the atmosphere in the kitchen with dynamic sound from its built-in Bluetooth speaker. Located at the top of the fridge, the speaker can play songs from music streaming apps,2 or from the Music Collection playlist on the ThinQ app. The Music Collection’s Party Mode feature changes the colour of the MoodUP panel in sync with the tune being played, accentuating the beat and bringing a sense of fun to the kitchen. Users can turn off the freezer door’s LED lighting at any time to reveal a finish of Lux White, a charmingly understated color that harmonizes well with most décors. Thanks to LG’s colour-changing MoodUP innovation, customers can transform the vibe in their kitchen without the expense and hassle of buying an extra refrigerator door panels.

The First LG Bottom Freezer with InstaView

The InstaView bottom freezer with MoodUP has the distinction of being the first LG two-door fridge-freezer to offer the convenience of InstaView. With two quick knocks on the InstaView panel, which features a sleek mirrored-glass surface, the fridge’s interior is instantly illuminated. This allows users to see inside without having to open the door, and has the added benefit of preventing cold air loss. For a neat and tidy appearance, the refrigerator compartment’s Food Cover can be lowered to obscure the shelves ordinarily visible when looking through the InstaView window.

Customised for Your Lifestyle

LG’s MoodUP bottom freezer boosts convenience and offers a unique user experience with its colorful panel notifications. When one of the fridge’s doors has been left open for too long, the MoodUP panel blinks repeatedly (Door Open Alert) to let users know. And to make things easier to see at nighttime, the MoodUP panel glows bright (Nighttime Mood Light) whenever the fridge’s proximity sensor detects someone approaching.

What’s more, the new bottom freezer boasts the Cover Screen, a 4.3-inch LCD touch display that enables the convenient fridge management and its many smart features. Users can customise the Cover Screen to display temperature settings, the time, or the ThinQ Diary. This feature enables users to leave a message or reminder for themselves or other household members. Via the ThinQ app, they can also select the recommended temperature for different types of food or choose from a range of temperature modes (such as Party, Sound Sleep, or Vacation+), offering custom settings for specific occasions.

LG’s Core Tech for Advanced Freshness

The LG InstaView bottom freezer with MoodUP is powered by the company’s efficient and reliable Smart Inverter Compressor™, which provides impressive energy savings by adjusting speed to actual conditions and comes with a 10-year warranty. Leveraging LG’s exclusive LINEARCooling™ technology, the new model reduces temperature fluctuations to preserve food freshness for longer.3

“LG’s InstaView bottom freezer with MoodUP is ready to bring enhanced convenience and a lively atmosphere to European kitchens,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “Driven by our commitment to innovation and making people’s lives better, we will continue to deliver differentiated kitchen experiences and a smarter, more comfortable home.”
