Millennials kbb kitchen with Virtual Worlds & Mascari
What does the ideal millennials kitchen look like? What are the key design features that should be included and how can they be planned in to the space so that it meets the needs of urban living?
Those were some of the questions asked by on the Kitchen Design degree course at Buckinghamshire New University, who will now use the Virtual Worlds 4D Theatre to showcase their ideas in a concept kitchen to be showcased at kbb Birmingham.
The project is a collaboration between Virtual Worlds and Rob Mascari, of Mascari Kitchens in Nottingham. As well as being an independent kitchen retailer, Rob also lectures at Buckinghamshire New University, giving his students the task of creating a millennials kitchen, perfect for the consumer who spends little time at home and needs the space to be multi-functional.
The students created their finished rooms using a mixture of branded products and their own furniture designs, with their ideas pooled together to create the finished concept. Visitors to kbb Birmingham will be able to walk around the whole apartment and immerse themselves in the design using the latest virtual reality technology.
“The students ideas have been really creative and we can’t wait to see them come to life with 4D Theatre,” comments Nathan Maclean, Managing Director of Virtual Worlds. “It’s wonderful to see the next generation of kitchen designers embracing technology in this way, as it is something they are likely to use as standard once they graduate.”
There will also be 4D Theatres in operation on other partner brand stands with Impey and Villeroy & Boch.
