Surface 2.0 ceramic tiles from RAK Ceramics have been chosen as an integral part of the inspiring Sensory Home® project, by interiors stylist and author Pippa Jameson.
A sensory home is a mindful approach to decorating which uses product, material, surroundings, and colour to create positive sensory connections. Surface 2.0 in Sand fits seamlessly into the design of the kitchen of the first Sensory Home created by Pippa, a four-bedroom Edwardian home by the beach in Liverpool.
The sensory designed kitchen features an open-plan layout to maximise natural light, with soothing colours including forest green and terracotta complemented by the nature-inspired RAK Ceramics Surface 2.0 worktops and upstand in Sand. The ideal choice for creating a home environment that is calm, future-proof and above all, happy – the very essence of the Sensory Home.
Each element of the project’s design was carefully chosen to fit with the principles of the project, with ceramic worktops from RAK Ceramics appealing due to their versatility, durability, hygiene, heat resistance and eco credentials. “The material comes in a range of colours and patterns; this allowed us to choose a shade that fitted in with the calm and natural design of the kitchen,” Pippa explained.
“Ceramic worktops are highly durable and resistant to scratches, heat, and stains. Perfect for busy kitchens that may see lots of spills or accidents. It’s also a natural material which
is environmentally friendly. They are also recyclable, making them a sustainable choice for your sensory kitchen.”
