TEMPLATE PREPARATION

To ensure a perfectly tailored worksurface for every project, PWS offers a digital templating service, wherever possible. This advanced process captures precise measurements, allowing for a seamless fit within the customer’s space. Once templating is complete, the digital template is instantly transmitted to PWS’s factory, streamlining production and supporting the company’s nationwide 5 to 7-day lead time from template to installation. To facilitate a smooth and efficient process, PWS Worksurfaces advises that a decision-maker be present on-site at the time of templating to confirm all necessary details.

EDGE PROFILES – MODERN, CLASSIC AND TRADITIONAL

As part of its commitment to providing tailored kitchen solutions, PWS has refined its worksurface profile offering into three distinct categories: Modern, Classic and Traditional. This structured approach helps customers to identify a profile that aligns with their kitchen vision, ensuring a seamless integration of style and functionality.

The expanded range includes 12 profiles within the Modern category, 10 profiles within Classic and 14 profiles within Traditional, offering customers an extensive selection to suit a variety of design preferences. Whether seeking sleek, contemporary lines, timeless elegance or heritage-inspired detailing, PWS Worksurfaces provides the versatility to achieve the perfect finishing touch for any kitchen project.

Some worksurfaces may not be compatible with certain edge profiles, so PWS Worksurfaces recommends consulting a Sales and Service team to ensure the best style selection for each project.

CONSIDERATIONS WHEN CHOOSING A PROFILE

When selecting a worksurface profile, several factors should be considered to ensure both aesthetic appeal and structural integrity.

• Joints: For non-square profiles, a mason’s mitre joint is specified as standard, providing a precise and seamless connection between surfaces.

• Building up a Profiled Edge: To create the illusion of a deeper worksurface, profiled edges can be built up, adding a bold and sophisticated touch to any kitchen design. These options are compatible with a range of design applications and, unless otherwise specified, are crafted using a combination of 20mm or 30mm materials for a seamless and refined finish.

CLADDING OPTIONS

PWS Worksurfaces continues to push the boundaries of kitchen design with statement downstands, upstands and splashbacks. These elements will not only enhance functionality but also serve as striking design features that elevate the overall aesthetic of the space.

Downstands and upstands create a bold, architectural statement, with the option to introduce contrasting materials and finishes for added depth and visual interest. The growing popularity of a feature downstand sink creates the look of a built up bespoke sink, with ribbed and scalloped finishes on offer. Customers can then choose between a Butt Joint and Mitre Joint, however the latter is only available on certain materials. Splashbacks are another way to incorporate a stylish and practical addition in the kitchen, with the option of installing one over a specific area, such as the hob, or across the entirety of a kitchen wall.

With PWS Worksurfaces’ expertise and extensive range of materials, homeowners and designers can create kitchens that balance style, practicality, and cutting-edge design.
