Success for UWLA ISH launch of ‘Road to Growth’

The Unified Water Label Association (UWLA) has celebrated the success of the launch of its ‘Road to Growth’ document at ISH, the leading trade fair for HVAC + Water, held in Frankfurt recently (March 17-20).

The ‘Road to Growth’ outlines key highlights since the UWL inception in 2007, milestones that reflect market transformation, and the growth path to reach support from 20,000 products, twenty-two supporters and 160 brands.

The launch was part of the Pushing Boundaries event, which took place at ISH and brought together key speakers to discuss how the Unified Water Label supports the water resilience agenda.

Almost 60 people attended the event, and the presentations were well received.  New sustainability criteria from a research project with Keele University were unveiled.  This project looks at innovative methods to measure and improve the “repair, reuse, recycle” of brassware.

Yvonne Orgill presented a proposed new design for the Unified Water Label and spoke of the factors that have influenced the decision to develop a new label. The proposed new label is available for viewing via the UWLA website here.

UWLA president Carlos Velazquez concluded the event by making a presentation to Yvonne Orgill, who retires from the UWLA on 31 March. Carlos said, “Yvonne will be missed by all; she is a true professional with outstanding vision and drive.  We wish her well for her next chapter.”
