Quooker UK reports robust growth with £80.6m turnover in 2023

Quooker, a manufacturer of boiling water taps, has reported robust growth following the publication of its 2023 financial results.

Quooker UK recorded an 11% increase in turnover compared to the previous year, equating to £80.6m.

Quooker has attributed its rise in turnover to heightened market demand bolstered by increased advertising efforts, the introduction of new product features, its growing dealer network and its dedicated employees.

Over the past year, the brand has been honoured with numerous prestigious accolades including:

  • Named as one of the 50 fastest growing companies in the North West of England 2023 (awarded in June 2023)
  • Winner of the Outstanding Employer Award and shortlisted for the Outstanding Commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Award at the Employers Excellence Awards 2024
  • Placed in the top 100 Best Places to Work for a mid-size company by The Sunday Times for the second year running (2023 & 2024)

Quooker expanded its sales, training and after-sales teams to fortify its service offerings and foster stronger relationships with customers. This customer-centric strategy aligns with the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional value and support to its diverse customer base. With no single customer group accounting for more than 8% of total sales, Quooker UK boasts a resilient and diversified customer base which has helped mitigate dependency risks.

Stephen Johnson, managing director at Quooker UK & Ireland, comments: “Quooker has undergone a remarkable journey since its inception over 50 years ago. Despite facing challenging trading conditions in recent years, Quooker has achieved significant growth milestones since entering the UK market in 2006. This growth underscores the enduring demand for our products and fuels our commitment to delivering unparalleled quality and service. At Quooker we have a simple motto, to be better today than we were yesterday. This approach means we are continuously growing and pushing the boundaries within the industry. As we look ahead, we will remain committed to continuously developing and improving our products to reach our overall company objective; suppling every home in the UK & Ireland with a Quooker tap.”

Founded in 1970, Henri Peteri’s innovative concept of a boiling water tap has grown into a kitchen essential for millions of households worldwide. Quooker now operates across 16 countries globally and employees more than 400 people.
