Used Kitchen Hub collaborates with “Worst House on the Street” TV show

The UK’s leading kitchen re-seller, Used Kitchen Hub, recently collaborated with the popular home renovation show, Worst House on the Street.

The online retailer was approached due to its unique business model which focuses on selling ex-display and privately owned kitchens for a fraction of the original cost.

Centred around the growing concept of buying second-hand, this episode followed Jamie and Adam during the renovation of their “forever” home, where they ultimately chose to purchase a used kitchen, allowing them to achieve their desired style whilst keeping within their budget.

The couple visited the Klynstone Kitchens showroom close to their South London terraced property, where Used Kitchen Hub had a number of second-hand kitchens on display. Used Kitchen Hub founder, Daniel Abrahams, shared his expert knowledge around ex-display and second-hand kitchens and how the buying and selling process works, as well as the numerous environmental and financial benefits they provide.

Presented by property developers Scarlette and Stuart Douglas, Worst House on the Street helps families transform run-down houses into dream homes without breaking the bank, revealing how much the value of the property has increased at the end of the show. The brother and sister duo reiterated the advantages of opting for a second-hand kitchen throughout the episode, stating it was the ideal solution to finding “higher end kitchens at lower end prices”.

Used Kitchen Hub founder, Daniel Abrahams, commented: “When Used Kitchen Hub launched in 2015, the idea of buying and selling second-hand kitchens was still relatively new. So many quality ex-display and privately owned kitchens were simply being discarded and sent to landfill – and I wanted to change that.

“Over the last 9 years, we have created a solution that has allowed us to help so many people with their renovation projects – from evaluation to selling and removal. Because of this, the business has grown, and we have become the UK’s “go to” platform for guidance and advice with all aspects of buying and selling used kitchens.

“When we were approached by the show’s production company, we knew it was an opportunity we couldn’t turn down. We realise that many consumers aren’t aware of the growing second-hand kitchen market, and we want to do all we can to change that. Home renovation shows like Worst House on the Street are the perfect platform for inspiring and encouraging people to consider choosing pre-owned kitchens.”

Worst House on the Street presenter Scarlette Douglas explained: “We were lucky enough to work with Used Kitchen Hub on our TV show, Worst House on the Street. The research team were looking for a reputable company that could provide high-end kitchens for a fraction of the price, and what a great find they were!

“The team were extremely knowledgeable, professional and patient, and the kitchens were very impressive. We have since recommended them to lots of people looking for well-priced kitchens and wish to continue working with them on any future projects.”

Used Kitchen Hub provides high-quality kitchens to a growing customer base whilst preventing perfectly viable kitchens being sent to landfill. Following a 30% increase in growth over the last 12 months, the family-run business is now extending its relationships with interior designers, architects and other industry partners, whilst focusing on its commitment to sustainability.
