Zenith worktops make a style statement
Solid core Zenith used in kitchen design
Sleek cream furniture and a super slimline worktop give this kitchen a timeless, yet forward thinking look. The kitchen was designed and supplied by retailer Hitchings & Thomas.
The designers chose Zenith worktops by Wilsonart in Pyla, a natural wood effect. Zenith is an ultra slim solid core material with an ultra-black solid core, providing an attractive contrast around edges and for drainer grooves etc. It is easy to work with and can be cut and seamlessly joined on site. Completely waterproof, Zenith is perfect for use with undermount sinks. The material is also highly heat and stain resistant and very easy to clean.
Zenith is available in a choice of 12 natural decors. Upstands and splashbacks are available to complete the design. Here upstands have been used to create a statement edge on the breakfast bar. As Zenith is solid and easy to machine on site, the designers were able to follow the lines of the curved base unit. The contrast core turns the drainer grooves cut for the undermount sink into an appealing design feature.
Wilsonart will soon be extending the Zenith range with the addition of the Pure and Revolution ranges. Pure will have an ultra-matte, anti-fingerprint finish and strong monochrome decors while Revolution includes striking fossil and sediment stone effects. Both are available in additional colour cores including white and grey.
“The customer was delighted with the kitchen” Stephen Hitching, Director for Hitchings and Thomas. “We found our supplier Llandaff Laminates very easy to deal with and the material was a joy to work with as it is easy to handle and to cut. The choice of natural decors means that there is something to suit every kitchen.”
